LA PAUSA-GROUND FLOOR W. PATIO

La Pausa del Montseny was our very first project, back in 2018, and it marked the beginning of our way of understanding renovation: respecting the essence of a space and enhancing it with care and sensitivity.

It is a ground-floor home within a village house, with generous proportions and a rich architectural foundation. From the very beginning, we were drawn to its original features—exposed beams and a striking arch—that bring character and identity to the space.

The intervention focused on redistributing the layout to make it more functional and aligned with contemporary living, always maintaining a dialogue with the original structure. The kitchen and main bathroom were fully renovated, and a new en-suite bathroom was added to the main bedroom, improving comfort without disrupting the overall harmony.

One of the key elements of the project was the large patio, which was fully redesigned to become a lively and usable space throughout the year. At the far end, a small rustic outbuilding completes the setting, reinforcing the authentic and relaxed atmosphere that defines the home.

La Pausa del Montseny is a space designed for disconnection, but it also reflects our beginnings: a project where our intention to create with calm, respect, and an honest approach to materials and the history of each place was already clearly present
